About The Epicurean Trader

The Epicurean Trader is dedicated entirely to craft products: craft spirits; organic and sustainable wines; farmstead cheeses and charcuterie; small batch chocolates, coffees, teas and pantry items.

We hand select artisan products from across America for their dedication to the craft, their incredible flavors and fusions, natural ingredients and beautiful packaging.

Our goal is to be a brand ambassador for these smaller brands, sharing their unique stories, and bringing many of them to San Francisco for the first time.

If you are interested in more tasting events – craft spirits, wines, beers and other pantry items – please like us on Facebook for all the latest events!

easter-risque1-250x187Easter in the Park

Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

11 AM, All Ages

Free

There’s a family-friendly Children’s Easter celebration at 11 am, but the real fun follows after the kids head home with adult-friendly fare like the Easter Bonnet Contest, burlesque, a trashcan marching band, everyone’s favorite blasphemous hoot, and of course the Foxy Mary and the Hunky Jesus contests.
The 2016 celebration will, once again, be held at the fabulous and very spacious Hellman Hollow in beautiful Golden Gate Park. They even have a back up space in the park in the event of rain, but they are cautiously optimistic it will be a fabulous day.

The Sisters are thrilled to have co-emcees Kit Tapata, Mutha Chucka, and Cruzin D’Loo. The Easter Bonnet, Foxy Mary & Hunky Jesus contests will be hosted, traditionally, by Sisters Roma & Dana and some of the Sisters and Saints are going to be selling “Saint & Sinner” raffles until 3 pm on Easter Sunday, where you will get a chance to help them crown this year’s Hunky Jesus and Foxy Mary on stage. Not only does the raffle help put on this fabulous event, you’ll get a shot at being a part of one of the most controversial and talked about contests in the country.

2016 Schedule:

  • 11 am: Children’s Easter Egg Hunt With Sister Betty
  • 12 pm: Private Idaho (B-52’s Cover Band)

bigwheels“Bring Your Own Big Wheel” Race 2016

Potrero Hill, San Francisco

4 PM, All Ages

Free

Absolutely no metal framed trikes, and no metal spokes pegs or pieces of metal sticking out of your rig will be allowed to race with other racers, and nothing but plastic wheels will be allowed, period. Metal framed ‘drift’ trikes are a hazard. They will pull all metal trikes. Plan accordingly.

This event is all about making a fool out of yourself on a child’s plastic wheeled toy, not accidentally slicing or impaling your fellow riders.

BE RESPECTFUL IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING –  This event can get very crowded with limited views, and porta potties are scarce. So for spectators it may not be worth attending. And if you leave trash behind or trespass on people’s property, you’ll risk having the neighbors complain and the event permit could be canceled. Don’t be the dick that causes this to happen.

Also, be forewarned, there is a zero tolerance policy; smoking and alcohol are banned at the event.

Important Details

  • Leave no trace: This is a pack in/pack out event, so take everything home with you (even your trash)
  • No Smoking & No Alcohol – The cops are very clear about this; otherwise the permits will NOT be issued next year
  • Be respectful of neighbors – Only roll on the street closure area
  • Donate $5 or more if you can – Event costs organizers several thousand dollars for permits; help them keep this great event going
  • Please be respectful of neighbors & volunteers, use the portapotties and PICK UP GARBAGE. Even if it isn’t yours, gasp… They have an amazing team of volunteers who will be happy to receive and sort garbage and recycling. Make your mom proud.
  • Parking sucks – Take Muni
  • The Fuzz is in Full Force: Please be aware that the police will be on hand checking IDs to put the kabosh on underage drinking, but remember, alcohol is banned for everyone.
