Artificial Intelligence Utilized in Brewing Beer

Because we’ll need something tasty to swill when our robot overlords finally come into their full artificial intelligence, a company in the UK is attempting to figure out if robots can help humans brew a better beer.

While there won’t be robots stirring batches of wort or sorting hops, artificial intelligence will play a big part in London-based firm IntelligentX’s plan to brew beer, CNET reports.

Project Nourished is a gastronomic virtual reality experiment using Oculus Rift headsets, cutlery with sensors, low-calorie foods and aromatic diffusers to mimic the taste of the real thing.

If the experiment proves successful, being prevented from eating whatever you like due to food allergies and dietary restrictions will become a thing of the past.

DARPA Sets Reward For Hacking AI

Seven fully-autonomous computers will face off in a historic battle in Las Vegas early next month, as each try to defend themselves and point out flaws without any human control.

Set for Aug. 4, DARPA’s Cyber Grand Challenge finals will take place right in the middle of two of the biggest hacking conferences, Blackhat USA and DEFCON, possibly proving that machines can beat even the best human hackers.
